Welcome!
Welcome to the open studio blog for this semester's Digital Imaging Studio!
A couple preliminary observations... the studio will be conducted in the spirit of creative enquiry and expects all participants to be proactive, self-directed and engaged in their practice.
Particular emphasis will be placed on "research & development" as it relates to studio-based practice.
The directed project which will be conducted during the first part of the semester will be run by my colleague Joel Zika. The assignment will offer you a chance to explore digital imaging application in public space. The major self-directed project that follows will provide students with the opportunity to realize a self-initiated creative project. Emphasis will be placed on supporting individual investigation, self-direction and encourage full accountability for achieving the objectives of the project.
On behalf of Joel and myself, we look forward to working with you and here's to a great semester!
